TOMS RIVER – Residents should expect intermittent interruption in water service this week while Suez Water replaces mains on Bay Breeze Drive, Cattus Street, Longman Street and Sea Breeze Drive.
“While small water systems across the country often lack the resources needed to maintain reliable service, SUEZ is taking a proactive approach. These upgrades will help ensure that our customers will be served by a system that provides exceptional water quality and will continue to be reliable for many years to come,” said Jim Mastrokalos, Director of Operations.
The work is part of a larger $4.5 million upgrade that will replace about 2,400 feet of 8-inch ductile iron water pipe, add two fire hydrants and renew approximately 50 water services through about May 2019. Work will be done from 7 a.m. through 5 p.m. on weekdays and from 9 a.m. through 4 p.m. on Saturdays. Suez will be working in coordination with other township projects, expected to be complete in June.
