TOMS RIVER – Police are asking the public’s help in identifying a suspect in relation to the burglarizing of several cars.
The incidents took place on Jan. 7. Several vehicles were broken into at Riverwood Park while the vehicles’ owners were inside watching a game, police said.
The suspect smashed car windows and stole purses, credit cards, cash, and check books, police said. Bank surveillance footage recorded images of a white female using the stolen checks at Ocean First Banks in Hammonton, Little Egg Harbor, and Mays Landing. The suspect is driving a gray, Nissan minivan and might not live locally.
