TOMS RIVER – The local branch of the library has announced that it will remain closed due to ongoing issues to the building’s HVAC system failing, officials said.

The branch put out a statement confirming that the library will remain temporarily closed on July 13 for maintenance of the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) system.

If this is pushed back further, staff will post updates on theoceancountylibrary.org and their social media sites.

If you’ve got something on hold, that hold will be extended until July 17, officials said. Books can be returned to the book drop or any other county library location.

In the meantime, patrons are invited to use this bad news as an opportunity to explore the library’s online resources, including eBooks, eMagazines and more.
