TOMS RIVER – The Township Council recognized Gun Violence Awareness Day at a recent meeting.
Members of Moms Demand Action and Students Demand Action were invited to the meeting, wearing orange to bring awareness to the epidemic of gun violence in America.
“Through this proclamation, the Township of Toms River recognizes the need to develop scientifically sound solutions to this important national public health crisis,” Councilwoman Laurie Huryk said.
