TOMS RIVER — The Toms River Business Improvement District (TRBID) is thrilled to announce the appointment of Melissa Fernandez as its new Executive Director. Melissa, who has led TRBID’s marketing and events initiatives since 2022, makes history as the first Latino Executive Director of the organization.
Melissa’s exceptional career is marked by her expertise in marketing, event production, community engagement, and fundraising. She brings a unique blend of creativity and strategic vision, cultivated through years as a senior producer in New York, where she developed impactful projects for diverse audiences. Her appointment signals TRBID’s commitment to inclusivity and progress as it continues to serve the evolving Toms River community.
Holding a degree in education and child psychology, Melissa approaches leadership with insight and compassion. She also has a strong background in the arts and nonprofit sectors, making her a versatile and dynamic leader poised to create deeper connections between businesses, residents, and the community.
