TOMS RIVER – A man who eluded police in both Lakewood and Toms River was finally arrested at Ocean County Mall Monday afternoon.
Dominique Holly was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant from Lakewood. Toms River Police additionally charged him with eluding, obstruction by flight, and other motor vehicle offenses.
Toms River Police were contacted by the Lakewood Township Police Department Sunday, asking for assistance to locate Holly. He had eluded Lakewood Police earlier in the day.
At 1 a.m. Monday, police spotted Holly and his vehicle near Hooper Avenue and Route 37. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but Holly raced away and officers terminated the pursuit.
He and his vehicle were spotted at Ocean County Mall on Monday. He was taken into custody without incident, and his vehicle impounded.
The investigation was conducted by Toms River Police Officers Brian Jarka, James Colline, and John Minor, with the assistance of the Detective Bureau.
