TOMS RIVER – A serious motor vehicle accident in the township has closed a busy stretch of road.
Toms River Police confirm the crash at Whitesville Road on Thursday evening.
According to Spokesperson Jillian Messina, the road is shutdown north of Route 70.
Messina added “the road may remain closed for some time due to an ongoing investigation.”
Ocean County Scanner News was on the scene. They reported the accident involved an entrapment in one of the cars. Toms River Police said they will be releasing more details as they become available.
