TOMS RIVER – Toms River Police continue to investigate a crash that left one driver in critical condition.
Police did not release the name of the 26-year-old Lakewood man, who was traveling on his 2017 motorcycle on Route 37 East this afternoon. At 2:43 p.m., the man made a high-speed lane change and lost control of his bike.
He drove into the back of a 2009 Toyota, driven by a 77-year-old woman from Lavallette. The woman was uninjured.
The motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and was taken by Medevac to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, where he’s listed in critical condition.
Toms River Traffic Safety Officers Adam Koeppen and Pascal Gambardella are investigating.
