TOMS RIVER – Four miles of Route 37, stretching from the Garden State Parkway to Fischer Boulevard, will be resurfaced.
The project will run 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Thursday, now through the next few weeks, according to NJDOT.
Shoulders from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., and single lanes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., will be closed for concrete curb repair in both directions on that four-mile stretch of Route 37. The State said the work will not be done Friday through Sunday to “minimize the effect on summer shore traffic.”
Milling and paving is scheduled to begin Aug. 13, 8 p.m. to 6 a.m., causing lane and shoulder closures on both sides of Route 37. That work is expected to continue into the fall.
