TOMS RIVER – Police said they investigated two separate incidents at Intermediate East of threats against the school but said these incidents were not going to put anyone in real danger.

The incidents happened during this week of school, police said. Officers investigated the threats and found “there are no indications of the students intending to follow through with the threats.” The issues were handled administratively by the district.

In this day and age, authorities have a saying: If you see something, say something. This is intended to head off any dangerous situation before it happens. The police commended the students for reporting what they saw and heard.

“Bringing any information to authorities when you are concerned is always the right thing to do. We are very proud of the students who came forward,” police said.
