
HOWELL – A Toms River man was struck and killed crossing Route 9 in Howell Tuesday night, the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office said.
Cormic A. McCluskey, 48, was crossing from the eastbound side of Route 9 just south of Kent Road around 11:21 p.m. when a 2009 Subaru Legacy struck him. The prosecutor’s office identified the driver as Robert Velazquez, 42, also of Toms River.
McClusky was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:45 p.m.
The crash remains under investigation.
