TOMS RIVER – A Lakewood man was arrested and charged with lewdness by a Township police officer on Sept. 18.
Police responded to the Lakewood residence of Ronald Banilov, following an investigation that Banilov had committed a lewd act in Toms River.
Banilov was stopped in a driveway of a business on Route 9 when he saw a young girl walking along the corridor. According to police, Banilov asked her for directions and while she stood next to his vehicle he pointed to his lap and exposed himself to her.
The victim quickly walked away from his vehicle and at no time did Banilov attempt to lure the girl into his vehicle.

The girl later provided a description of the Banilov’s vehicle and provided police his license plate number.
Banilov was arrested and charged with lewdness by the Toms River Police Department and is due to appear in court at a undisclosed time.
