Library Welcomes New Chief Librarian To Toms River Branch

TOMS RIVER – The Ocean County Library welcomes Rachael Lavoie-Dohn as chief librarian, branch manager of the Toms River Branch which serves as the headquarters of the library system.

Lavoie-Dohn enters the position with 15 years of experience with the Ocean County Library including her most recent position as supervising librarian, branch services managing services at seven library branches. Previously she served as teen services librarian at the Stafford branch and branch manager for the Island Heights and Plumsted branches.

Lavoie-Dohn has been a lifelong library enthusiast.  “I have always been an avid reader looking to pair the perfect book with the right reader. I am very excited about working with the Toms River staff and community to provide library services for Ocean County Library customers” said Lavoie-Dohn.

Lavoie-Dohn received her MLIS from Clarion University in 2009 and was recently named Ocean County Library’s Librarian of the Year for 2016
