TOMS RIVER — Three individuals were hospitalized following a collision on Route 70 last week, police said.
On Thursday, Jan. 9, 47-year old Melanie Pierciey of Bayville was traveling west on Route 70 when she made a left turn towards Massachusetts Ave, directly into the path of 41-year old Alexander Robinson of Barnegat. Robinson was traveling east on Route 70 when the incident occurred.
Pierciey, Robinson, and a passenger in Robinson’s car sustained moderate injuries. The three were transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for treatment.
Pierciey was issued a summons for failure to yield at an intersection.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
