TOMS RIVER – A hearing for the proposed development Cox Cro Crossings is scheduled for the Dec. 5 planning board meeting, which will begin at 6 p.m. at the Toms River Municipal Building.
The hearing had been set originally months ago, and has gone through changes. It will be a mix of residential and other uses near the intersection of Cox Cro Road and Route 9. Local residents have said that the area is already congested and this new development would add more traffic to an already busy intersection.
Some recent plans proposed two residential buildings, totaling 42 units, and two retail/office buildings. Previously, there were plans for a medical office there, and 40 residential units. This is not the first time the plan has changed. There used to be a gas station and a convenience store in the mix.
