TOMS RIVER – A Toms River man had to be airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center after being struck by a SUV while riding his bicycle.
Toms River Police confirmed that 20-year-old Moshe Ehrman of the township was attempting to cross Hooper Avenue and South Shore Drive on Friday night around 11:18 p.m. when he was hit by a Honda CRV.
The driver, 71-year-old Sandra Applegate of Lakewood wasn’t injured in the crash.
Ehrman suffered severe head trauma and was sent in a medical chopper to the Neptune based trauma center.
He’s listed in serious but stable condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
