Update from TR Police
On Thursday, January 23, at around 1:00 PM police units were dispatched to a report of a bank robbery at the First Financial Federal Credit Union which is located at the intersections of Routes 9 and 571. The male suspect presented a note to the teller and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.
The male suspect appeared to disguise his appearance with white facial make-up and a shoulder length wig. The wig appeared to be dark in color, with blonde extensions. The subject was carrying a backpack style bag. He was wearing a dark colored knit cap, a dark shirt, grey sweat pants and dark colored footwear. TOMS RIVER – Police said they are currently looking for a bank robber who robbed the First Financial Bank on the corner of Route 9 and Route 571 earlier today.
The suspect is described as a male wearing heavy make-up, a blonde wig, grey sweatpants, a dark jacket and sneakers.
Since the scene is still being investigated and the suspect has not yet been found, police are urging residents to use caution in the area.
