Armed Man Sought By Police In Toms River

TOMS RIVER – Police are asking for help in locating a man who threatened another with a gun.

The suspect, James Adams, 28, of Toms River, allegedly threatened someone with a silver handgun. The incident happened as the two people, who knew each other, were arguing. It happened on Jan. 19 at approximately 11:20 p.m. in the area of Route 9 and Indian Head Road.

The suspect had left before police arrived in the area. Before he left, he allegedly cut the other person’s tires.

Adams is wanted in relation to charges of Aggravated Assault with a Firearm, Terroristic Threats, and Criminal Mischief.
