Suspicious Vehicle Call Leads To Drug Arrests

LANOKA HARBOR – A Toms River man was arrested on drug charges Dec. 1.

Lacey Township Police Officer Anthony Sarno was dispatched to the McDonald’s on Route 9 on a call about a suspicious vehicle. Officers Michael Baldasari and Christopher Meyler assisted.

Their investigation led to the arrest of Eric S. Anderson, 24, and his passenger, Matthew S. Diaz, 28, of Brick. Both men were charged with possession of MDMA, possession of marijuana, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Anderson also had a no-bail warrant out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.

Both were transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility without incident.
