STAFFORD – A local woman was arrested and charged for stealing merchandise from Target in Manahawkin, police said.
Around 2:15 p.m. Sunday, 50-year-old Jessica Florio of Manahawkin was arrested for stealing about $228 of merchandise from Target.
According to police, Florio had shoplifted from Target six additional times between the months of July and August – totaling about $200 of additional stolen merchandise. Florio would steal items by skip scanning and concealing merchandise, police said.
Florio was arrested again on August 7 for the additional shoplifting incidents. She was charged with a total of seven counts of Shoplifting and released with criminal complaint summonses to appear in Ocean County Superior Court and Stafford Township Municipal Court.
All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
