SURF CITY – The Friends of the Long Beach Island Branch of the Ocean County Library will sponsor a two-day used book sale at LBI Branch of the Ocean County Library at 217 S. Central Avenue on Friday and Saturday, September 8 and 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Stretch out the summer with great deals on fabulous reads, audiobooks, DVDs and music CDs. Find amazing bargains on cookbooks, fiction, non-fiction, children’s, travel and art books. Peruse the wide selection of hardcovers, paperbacks, bestsellers and popular authors.
Proceeds from this event benefit the Friends of the Island Library. The Friends support the Library by enhancing facilities, such as funding the new digital sign, and providing services and programs, such as brain games, writer’s group and cultural programs throughout the year. In addition, the Friends sponsor both the Kay Jones Memorial Scholarship and Eleanor Smith Memorial Scholarship.
Anyone may join the Friends of the Library during the sale or at the library anytime for only a small annual donation of $5 for individual, $10 for family or $50 for a business sponsorship.
This event will be held in the meeting room and is open to the public. Registration is not required.
