LITTLE EGG HARBOR – Pinelands Regional Junior High School became yet another school to receive a threat this morning, according to the Little Egg Harbor Police Department.
The police said that the threat, made by a former student of the Pinelands School, was received through an internal Pinelands Regional messaging system. The student in question no longer resides in the district.
Police officials reported that they now have the subject in custody.
“Police presence and enhanced internal security measures are out of an abundance of caution while the incident is thoroughly investigated by this agency with the assistance of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office,” stated a release from the department.
