LACEY – Officials are investigating a suspicious fire that occurred at Hebrew Park Tuesday afternoon.
A Department of Public Works employee found a fire in the women’s bathroom at the park.
Officer John McKee responded. He found that a plastic garbage can had been set aflame and completely consumed. It appeared a garbage can in the men’s bathroom had also been lit in a similar fashion, but that fire extinguished itself.
Lacey Detective Kymberly Gudgeon and the Ocean County Fire Marshal’s Office are investigating.
