Ocean County Woman Faces Charges In Teen Stabbing

STAFFORD – A Manahawkin woman remains lodged at the Ocean County Jail, after allegedly stabbing a 17-year-old in the back during an altercation involving her son and another juvenile, police said.

Stafford Township Police confirm that 41-year-old Jennifer Adams was arrested after the incident on December 14 when police arrived outside a home on Mermaid Drive in Ocean Acres. They were responding to reports of a fight which involved three male juveniles and a stab wound.

According to the police, Adams became involved in the altercation and stabbed the 17-year-old. He suffered non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Southern Ocean Medical Center.

Adams was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Weapon, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Child Endangerment and Tampering with Evidence.

The investigation is ongoing.
