Ocean County Man Arrested For Car Burglaries

  STAFFORD – A local man has been arrested and charged in connection to several car burglaries in the Ocean Acres area, police said.

  On October 16 at around 1 p.m., police received a call from a resident on Mizzen Avenue reporting a suspicious person in his driveway and seen on his security camera.

  Officers patrolled the area and found a man walking on the street resembling the description provided by the caller. 

  Police arrested 47-year-old Mark Paturzzio of Manahawkin for attempted burglary of the caller’s vehicle. Paturzzio was also in possession of assorted items and money from other car burglaries he committed that night in the Ocean Acres area, police said.

  Paturzzio was charged with two counts of Burglary. The charges were placed on a warrant and he was lodged in Ocean County Jail pending a court appearance. Patrolman Nick Racanelli was the arresting officer.

  All individuals are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
