The driver, 38-year-old Matthew Clinton of Forked River, had two warrants out for his arrest issued by Seaside Heights Municipal Court. As a result, he was arrested and transported to police headquarters.
Clinton was issued motor vehicle summonses for Leaving the Scene of an Accident, Failure to Report an Accident, and Careless Driving, all scheduled for a court appearance on December 4 in Stafford Township Municipal Court. Seaside Heights Municipal Court rescheduled Clinton’s court appearance for the warrants and he was released on his own recognizance.
