LACEY – A man who accidentally found himself in a stranger’s yard found himself with a gun pointed at him with a command to drop to the ground.
But when police arrived, it was the gunman, not the accidental trespasser, who was arrested.
Lacey Township Police responded to the West Lacey Road home after receiving a report of a suspicious person on a property. When they arrived, they witnessed four men arguing near a vehicle parked on the side of the road.
One of the men, David Most, 60, had a gun in his waistband.
The wanderer, a partygoer visiting from Little Egg Harbor, left a party in the woods and exited onto Most’s property. Alerted by his home security system, Most confronted the man. He followed the man off his property onto the road, pointing his gun at him and ordering him to the ground.
A passerby stopped and tried to convince Most to stop the encounter.
Police viewed the surveillance footage, which confirmed what happened, although the man did not commit any offenses.
However, Most was arrested and charged with possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, unlawful possession of a weapon, and aggravated assault.
