STAFFORD – McKinley Avenue Elementary School will not be ready for students and staff at the start of this school year.
Mold remediation is taking longer than expected.
McKinley students will be housed at the intermediate school and connector wing until further notice, a district letter dated Sept. 3 said.
The bus schedule for McKinley will remain the same. Drop-offs and pick-ups will be at the intermediate school. Nurse appointments will also be at Intermediate School.
Afternoon extended day students at McKinley and Intermediate will be picked up at Ronald L. Meinders Primary Learning Center.
“I am sorry for this inconvenience and I want to thank you in advance for your patience and understanding in this matter,” Superintendent George J. Chidiac said.
