LANOKA HARBOR – A Waretown woman was arrested after shoplifting from Walmart.
Michele Sapanaro, 49, was charged with shoplifting and possession of a syringe. She was also ticketed for driving with a suspended license. Sapanaro was taken to Ocean County Jail where she was awaiting a hearing.
At 6:03 p.m. Jan. 21, Lacey Township Police Officers Randolph Plis and Anthony Sarno responded to a call at Walmart. The alleged shoplifter was leaving the parking lot in a vehicle. Police stopped the vehicle, and after a search, found $443 worth of stolen merchandise and a hypodermic syringe.
