BARNEGAT – Six people were injured after a school bus overturned on the Garden State Parkway in Barnegat Tuesday afternoon, reports said.
The crash occurred around 3 p.m. in the southbound lanes near mile marker 68 in Barnegat Township. The bus was overturned and came to a rest on its side.
According to several reports on television and on social media, New Jersey State Police confirmed six people suffered minor injuries. A damaged car as well as the bus were seen being towed from the crash site. It was unclear whether students were on the bus or if they were the ones injured.
An investigation into the cause of the crash continues.
