LACEY – Caffrey’s announced that they chose to close down for a few days after two employees tested positive for coronavirus.
“Out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to close operations for the next couple of days. This decision was made to ensure the safety of our staff and customers,” the restaurant posted on its Facebook page. “We have also utilized the services of a COVID specialist company to sanitize and disinfect all work and customer contact surface areas.”
The restaurant had “Caffreys Backyard,” an open-air seating area open.
Management said that two employees tested positive and notified the restaurant Monday evening. They added that they consulted with the board of health and CDC guidelines. They were not made to shut down, it was a choice.
