SURF CITY – Two New York residents were charged in the theft of a boat and trailer from Surf City Marina earlier this year, police said.
The theft of the Sea Doo “Switch” pontoon boat took place on March 6. Police said the investigation led Ship Bottom Detective Anthony Lazlo to the marina where the boat and trailer were being stored in Brooklyn on August 24.
NYPD 61st Precinct and South Shore Towing assisted in removing the property from Brooklyn and towed it back to Ship Bottom.
Detective Lazlo signed arrest warrants for Savlatjon Sultonmurodov and Mirfayzulla Toshpulotov, both of Brooklyn, for 3rd Degree Theft of Movable Property. They turned themselves in.
Charges are merely accusations until proven in a court of law.
