BARNEGAT – Township police are asking the public to help identify a woman who was seen on surveillance video stealing hundreds of dollars worth of groceries from ACME.
Police say the female suspect entered the store on West Bay Avenue at around 6:59 p.m. on Saturday, January 20th and was there for almost an hour.
She is seen calmly cruising around the store – and at some points, frantically filling her cart with items from several aisles.
The suspect is described as a white female wearing a green shirt and jeans.
After leaving the store without a stop at the checkout counter, she ran into the parking lot and unloaded the wagon into a Dark Crossover SUV.
