TRENTON – While the New Jersey Lottery prepares for an exciting 2024, let’s take a quick look back at the biggest prizes awarded in 2023. Players overall won over $2 billion in prizes across our exciting portfolio of games. Pick-6 and the multi-State games produced the largest singles wins during the year. And once again, players upgrading with a multiplier game feature reaped extra rewards. Here are the top five prizes won by New Jersey Lottery players in 2023.
1: $25,800,000 – Pick-6
The largest ticket of the year was sold at Quick Chek #113 in Point Pleasant. The ticket was sold on August 14, 2023, and the winning numbers were: 10, 12, 21, 30, 38, and 45.
2: $7,300,000 – Pick-6
Pick-6 grabbed its second spot on this top five list with the ticket sold on February 16, 2023. That ticket matched all the winning numbers: 03, 07, 17, 18, 26, and 42, and was sold at Soda King in Manalapan.
3: $4,000,000 – Mega Millions
The first non-jackpot prize on this list goes to the lucky player who decided to add the Megaplier add-on to their Mega Millions ticket on January 31, 2023. The ticket matched all five of the five white balls drawn: 07, 09, 18, 29, and 39, but not the Gold Mega Ball, winning the second-tier prize of $1,000,000. The Megaplier add-on then multiplied that prize to $4,000,000! The ticket was sold at Metro Liquors in North Arlington.
4: $3,500,000 – CASH4LIFE
Two lucky tickets from New Jersey and Tennessee split the $1,000 a Day for Life grand prize on April 18, 2023, each earning an incredible prize with a cash value of $3,500,000 each. The winning numbers were 08, 12, 16, 18, and 21. The Cash Ball was 04. The winning ticket sold in New Jersey was sold at B & B Liquors in West Orange.
5: $3,000,000 – Mega Millions
Once again, the Megaplier turned an already-fantastic prize of $1,000,000 into much more when a lucky player multiplied their winning ticket by 3X on the October 6, 2023, drawing. The $3,000,000 ticket matched all five of the five white balls drawn: 12, 24, 46, 57, and 66, but not the Gold Mega Ball. The ticket was purchased at Freedom News in Jersey City.
