OCEAN COUNTY – An incumbent freeholder will be defending his seat against a former Lacey committeewoman in the November election.
Ocean County Freeholder Joseph Vicari won 19,839 votes and the Republican nomination, over Jenny Heinz, who won 6,042 votes. There were 54 write-ins.
Helen Dela Cruz ran unopposed to represent the Democrats, and won 13,260 votes. There were 27 write-ins.
