OCEAN COUNTY – The Ocean County Sheriff’s Office will not call asking for banking or other personal information.
A Nixle alert went out Wednesday afternoon from the sheriff’s department, warning users of yet another phone scam. Someone is calling, posing a sheriff’s department officer, asking for personal and banking information.
“Be alert, be cautious,” the office said.
