Police Search For Man Responsible For Bank Robbery

  LAKEWOOD – The Lakewood Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify the man responsible for robbing a bank last week in the Township.

  According to police, the man attempted to rob the Wells Fargo Bank located at 425 W Kennedy Boulevard at 3:01 p.m. June 30. The man had entered the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. He left on foot without any proceeds, police said.

  At 3:08 p.m., the same man entered the TD Bank located at 1601 Madison Avenue and handed the teller a note demanding money. He left with at least $1,000 in cash.

  Authorities said the suspect was last seen on walking west on East County Line Road from Madison Avenue. No weapons were displayed at either incident.
