HOWELL – A 32-year-old woman has been arrested for DWI after police seized heroin during a traffic stop, New Jersey State Police said.
At around 8 p.m. on Saturday, Trooper Ray Urbanski pulled over a car that was heading east on Route 195 at milepost 29.8 in Howell.
Urbanski stopped the driver for a traffic violation and determined she was under the influence. After investigating the car, Urbanski discovered that she was also in possession of heroin.
The driver, identified as Jessica Dapice, 32, of Point Pleasant, was charged with possession of heroin and DWI. She was released pending a future court date.
Charges are merely accusations, and the accused is considered innocent until proven guilty.
