TOMS RIVER – A Plumsted man will face life imprisonment for the murder of his wife in their township home on Aug. 25, 2015.
Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer announced on Aug. 29 that Arthur Haskoor, 61, Plumsted, had been sentenced that morning by the Judge Guy P. Ryan, for the murder of Haskoor’s wife, Suzanne Haskoor, to a term of life imprisonment
Haskoor was found guilty by a jury of his peers on June 27 before Judge Ryan.
Billhimer said, “Arthur Haskoor is where he belongs, in prison. His total lack of remorse at this morning’s hearing was offensive. His children and Susan’s family deserve better.”
The prosecutor acknowledged the work and perseverance of Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michelle Armstrong and Chief Trial Attorney Michael Weatherstone who he said “ably and skillfully tried the case on behalf of the State.”
Billhimer also extended thanks to the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Major Crime Unit — specifically Detectives John Murphy and Brant Uricks, the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Victim/Witness Unit – specifically Carol Froberg and Brook Joensen, the Plumsted Township Police Department, and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, for their collective assistance in investigating the murder and for bringing Haskoor to justice.
