LAKEWOOD – A Township man has been sentenced to ten years New Jersey State Prison for distributing drugs, officials said.
Timothy Myers, 52, of Lakewood, previously pled guilty to Possession of More than One Half Ounce of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute in connection with an incident that occurred on July 4, 2023, in Lakewood. Myers pled guilty to the charge on June 19, 2024.
On July 4, 2023, detectives were conducting surveillance when they observed a Ford Expedition make an abrupt U-turn on John Street and park in a parking lot located on Jay Street.
According to detectives, a female passenger of the Expedition exited the car and entered a Mercedes Benz parked nearby. When she re-entered the Expedition, authorities approached the car and asked the driver, later identified as Myers, to exit the vehicle.
Myers was detained by detectives and consented to a search of his person and car. As a result., detectives found about 23 grams of cocaine packaged for re-sale and two bricks of heroin.
Myers was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the Ocean County Jail, and later released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform.
