LACEY – A 32-year Lacey man has been arrested in connection with the drug-induced death of Anthony Terrill Jr.
Ocean County Prosecutor Joseph Coronato and Lacey Township Police Chief Michael DiBella announced Nicholas Marco Picone’s arrest today.
“OCPO will continue to lead the way in developing Strict Liability/Drug Induced Death cases. It’s critical during this opiate crisis we take strong punitive measures against dealers bringing death to those fighting addiction,” Coronato said.
On June 20, Picone was charged with strict liability drug-induced death. He’s been held at Ocean County Jail since April 12 for a prior narcotic drug possession and distribution charges, also related to Terrill’s death.
Terrill Jr., 29, was found unconscious at the Wawa at 444 Route 9 South in Forked River on April 8. He was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy confirmed that he died of a lethal dose of fentanyl and heroin.
