TOMS RIVER – The affected buildings have been deemed safe and re-populated after school officials announced a gas leak on the campus of Ocean County College earlier today.
At around 12 p.m., police were dispatched to the OCC campus for reports of a ruptured gas line main. When officers arrived on scene, Ocean County College security personnel were already working on evacuating buildings 29 and 11 as a precautionary measure, said Jillian Messina of the Toms River Police Department.
