Murder Investigation Underway In Ocean County

  LAKEWOOD – Police are investigating the shooting death of a young man that occurred on the night of February 21.

  Dajour Randolph, 20, of Little Egg Harbor, was killed in the area of Tudor Court at around 7:30 p.m.

  Police said that a 911 call came in reporting that a man had collapsed in the middle of the road. Police saw what appeared to be a gunshot wound to the chest. First responders brought him to Monmouth Medical Center, Southern Campus, in Lakewood. He succumbed to his injuries there.

  Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer and Lakewood Township Police Chief Gregory Meyer announced that this is an active investigation but there is no known danger to the public at this time.

  The case is being investigated by the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office High Tech Crime Unit, Lakewood Township Police Department, and Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit.

Charges are merely accusations until proven in a court of law
