NEW JERSEY – Things have been relatively peaceful at the Jersey Shore. That is…until… Uh oh. They’re coming back. Get ready for more gym, tanning, laundry, alcohol and debauchery. MTV has announced that Snooki and her pals are coming back to the Jersey Shore in 2018.

The new series tentatively titled “Jersey Shore Family Vacation” is now in pre-production, according to announcements from the cast this evening on the MTV network and on the Twitter & Instagram feeds of the principals.

Members of the original cast including Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Deena Nicole Cortese, Paul “Pauly D” Delvecchio,” Jenni “JWOWW” Farley, Vinny Guadagnino, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, and Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi are expected to be on the new show. It’s also likely that the young family members born after the show went off the air will be featured.

The original “Jersey Shore” ran for six seasons on MTV from 2009 to 2012. Shortly after production ended, Superstorm Sandy came ashore and destroyed many of the landmarks seen on the program.

The big question remains: where will they be going exactly? Seaside Heights doesn’t want them. Neither does Point Pleasant. There was quite a ruckus when MTV decided to come to Long Beach Island earlier this year for a program. That turned out to be relatively tame. Oh, and who can forget the recent cast sightings at the Barnegat Burger King?

What do you think about this? Are you excited about the new show coming back to our area?
