TOMS RIVER – Now that springtime is in full swing, its finally time to break out those gardening supplies and get to work!
The Ocean County Master Gardeners of Ocean County can help supply you with those pretty pink perennials or vegetables at their Annual Plant Sale. The sale will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on May 4 at the Rutgers Agricultural Center, 1623 Whitesville Road in Toms River. Rain or shine!
All are invited to come on down and choose from locally grown annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables and shrubs to enhance your landscapes and gardens. The OCMG Horticultural greenhouse team will also be offering many unusual plants including, Senicio Angel Wings, Ipomoea Moon Flower and Agastache Poquito, Butter Yellow.
The 2019 Plant of the Year is “Hypericum Hidcote,” St. John’s Wort. Get your hands on this beautiful yellow-flowered perennial that blooms June to September.
Free parking will be available. Everyone is welcome. Bring a cart or boxes to carry your purchases home.
