Man Working At Local Spa Charged With Sexual Assault

WALL – A 55-year-old man who worked as an unlicensed massage therapist at a spa in the township is facing serious sexual assault charges.

Earlier this week, An Qinghai of New York was arrested after clients of Happy Feet Reflexology in Wall reported that he inappropriately touched them during massage sessions.

Police said Qinghai was charged with two counts of 4th degree criminal sexual assault. Following his arrest, he was processed and released.

However, police are asking any other potential victims to come forward. According to the department, he had been employed at the Route 35 spa for two years and the alleged incidents happened between January of 2020 and March of this year.

In a news release posted on social media, investigators are still seeking additional information.

Anyone with information about Qinghais’ activities are urged to contact Detective Ty Hughes of the Wall Township Police Department at 732-449-4500 ext. 1191.

Despite these charges, every defendant is presumed innocent, unless and until found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, following a trial at which the defendant has all of the trial rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution and State law.
