Man Runs Stop Sign, Collides With School Bus

  LAKEWOOD – A 29-year-old man was issued a summons after running a stop sign and colliding into a school bus, police said.

  Around 6:15 p.m. Wednesday, a crash occurred at the intersection of Oak Street and Towbin Avenue.

  Shmuel Fink, 29, was driving a 2022 Ford Explorer and failed to stop at the stop sign at the southeast corner of Towbin Avenue. As a result, he entered the intersection he was struck by a school bus that was traveling east on Oak Street.

  Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said Fink was issued a motor vehicle summons for Failure to Stop. Both drivers complained of pain and were transported to local hospitals for further evaluation, Staffordsmith said.
