BRICK – Lovey is a two and a half year old boy who was pulled from an overcrowded NJ shelter and has been waiting since September for someone to fall in love with him.
Lovey is very spirited and outgoing. He is the first one to run and greet you in our free roaming room. Lovey has watched many of his kitty friends go home and when he sees the carrier come in to get them, he jumps right in hoping it’s his turn! He is super affectionate and LOVES to play! He can be an escape artist so a watchful eye is necessary so he does not run out the door. He can live with a smaller dog that is used to cats.

The mission of the Jersey Shore Animal Center is to rescue and care for unwanted, abused, and sick animals. Our goal is to adopt these special animals to caring and loving forever homes they so richly deserve.
The shelter is open for tours (facemasks required) Tuesday through Saturday from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
The office hours are Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. They are located at 185 Brick Boulevard and can be reached at 732-920-1600.
Heidi, a 12-year-old mastiff mix, is one of the animals available for adoption at the Monmouth County SPCA.
She is a sweet, calm dog whose owner could no longer care for her due to medical reasons. She is described as gentle but hesitant, and given her age it is best that she lives with a dog-savvy, adult only home. She would also need to be the only dog in the home.
The MCSPCA only does adoptions in person (please bring all family members). They will ask you to fill out an Adoption Survey and speak with an Adoption Counselor to help find your perfect match.
They are open to the public. Feline/exotic animal adopters should make an appointment. Dog adopters are by walk-in only.
They are open Tuesday through Sunday at noon and are located at 260 Wall Street in Eatontown. They can be reached at 732-542-0040
Sibling kittens Cobbler and Sorbet (pictured) and their siblings, Truffles and Éclair, are still interviewing families for their forever homes.
If you want to invite two of these active, sweet, smart kittens to join your family come interact with them and all the cats as they roam free in the LIDA Cat Adoption Center. It is open in downtown Toms River on Sundays from 1-4 p.m. and on Fridays from 6-8 p.m. and also by appointment.
They are located at 34 Main Street (Route 9), Suite 1B. The shelter adheres to COVID-19 restrictions and is run by the group called Lawyers In Defense of Animals. They can be reached at 908-910-2522, or on Facebook at /lidarescue and on Instagram @lida_rescue.
Pretty little Dwarf Dopey is still waiting for her furever home. She’s a very social and interactive four-month-old who is always up for conversation and ready to go.
Calling All Cats is a cat rescue group made up of volunteers, some of whom work at a spay and neuter clinic. People would drop off unwanted cats. As a group, they save the babies that are left alone, the countless mothers that have had numerous litters and those that are losing or have lost their home.
To help humanely lower the feline population, they spay and neuter feral cats and then find homes for the friendly adults and the offspring that have been born. The rescue works extremely hard to find the best homes for cats of all shapes, sizes, colors and ages. While these cats wait, they are cared for in safe, loving, and nurturing foster homes
