POINT PLEASANT BEACH – A juvenile was killed after being struck by a train, but the child’s name and age has not been made public.
NJ Transit said that a train from Long Branch was heading to Bay Head when it struck the juvenile around 4:30 p.m. on August 14 at the Forman Avenue crossing.
There were no injuries reported in relation to the nine passengers and crew members on the train, they said. The age and identity of the juvenile has not been released at this time.
The incident is under investigation and NJ Transit will be providing more information as it becomes available.
