TOMS RIVER – The third in command at the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office is out.
APP.com reported Monday night that Executive Assistant Prosecutor Michel A. Paulhus was escorted from the prosecutor’s offices Monday afternoon. The reason for his dismissal has not been made public.
The news outlet reported that Paulhus had retained an attorney, Russell Lichtenstein, with an Atlantic City law firm, Cooper Levenson. According to APP.com, he would not elaborate on the dismissal, but that a whistleblower lawsuit was certainly possible.
According to the report, Paulhus was removed from one case and had most charges thrown out in another, due to speculation and untruths, as characterized by one judge.
This is a developing story.
